The South O’Brien girls finished first in five events on the way to winning the team title at their own Wolverine Relays May 8 at Paullina. The home team accumulated 120 points to edge out Sioux Central which was second with 111.
Tori Schueller was a double individual winner with victories in both the high jump and the 100 meter hurdles. Taylor Wulf was first in the discus and Camryn Strubbe first in the 200 meters. The shuttle hurdle relay was also a winner with team members Abby Nelson, Maeci Stevens, Chloe Hustedt and Schueller.
Strubbe finished second in both the long jump and the 400 meters. Pulling off the hurdle runner-up double was Hustedt in the 100 and 400 hurdles. The 4×800 relay quartet of Reese Farquhar, Wulf, Avery Halverson and Grace Keen also earned a second-place finish.
