The South O’Brien girls track and field team finished behind only Westwood May 2 as MMCRU hosted the Royal Coed Relays May 2 at Marcus. The Wolverines’ 129 team points were 20 fewer than the Rebels collected. Right on the heels of South O’Brien was Alta-Aurelia which scored 126 points.

South O’Brien winners in the individual events were Tori Schueller in the high jump and Camryn Strubbe in the 100 meters. Earning first place for the shuttle hurdle relay were team members Abby Nelson, Maeci Stevens, Chloe Hustedt and Schueller.
In the discus Taylor Wulf placed second and Tawni Wulf third. The 110 hurdles saw Schueller finish second and Nelson third. Strubbe placed second in the 200 meters and Kelsee Warnke fourth. The 4×200 relay took second place with Warnke, Avery Halverson, Amelie Wilson and Strubbe.
Others individuals placing third were Strubbe in the long jump, Reese Farquhar in the 800 meters and Chloe Hustedt in the 400 meter hurdles. The four third-place relays were the 4×400 of Farquhar, Halverson, Hustedt and Grace Keen, the 4×800 of Farquhar, Taylor Wulf, Halverson and Keen, the sprint medley of Warnke, Nelson, Hustedt and Wilson and the distance medley of Warnke, Nelson, Keen and Raegan Plagge.
