Wolverine golfers collect multiple medals in opening win over Sioux Central
South O’Brien went out of conference to open up the 2025 golf season. The Wolverines took both the boys and the girls duals against Sioux Central with the boys winning 191-201 and the girls 197-230. The action took place April 8 at Primghar Golf and Country Club.
The South O’Brien boys took the top three medals in the non-conference dual. “Our experienced golfers played well tonight,” observed Wolverine coach Kris Faust. “Senior Jace Kleinwolterink stepped up to lead the team, taking medalist honors with a 43. Senior Ryan Fuller and junior Alex Griebel both shot 45. Fuller took runner-up honors after a card playoff. All three bring valuable varsity experience into the season. They really showed up tonight ready to play competitively. I’m excited to watch them continue to grow into their leadership roles.”
