Northwest Iowa Bandmasters Association Hosts Annual Jazz Band Festival
Le Mars, Iowa – The Northwest Iowa Bandmasters Association (NWIBA) is excited to welcome jazz enthusiasts to this year’s Jazz Band Festival on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Le Mars Community MS/HS. This annual event brings together some of the best young musicians in the region for a day filled with outstanding performances and a shared passion for jazz.
The NWIBA Jazz Band Festival is all about celebrating jazz music and giving middle and high school students a chance to showcase their talent, gain valuable performance experience, and compete for a spot at the Iowa Jazz Championships. This year’s festival will feature 55 bands, making it one of the largest jazz gatherings in the area.
What to expect at this year’s festival:
Incredible Performances: Bands from across Northwest Iowa will take the stage, playing a mix of jazz classics and contemporary pieces.
A Chance to Advance: The top two high school bands in each class will earn an invitation to the Iowa Jazz Championships.
The festival is open to the public, and we encourage community members to come out and support these talented young musicians. Admission is just $5.
