Wolverine boys beat Lakota Tech at Sanford Pentagon
The South O’Brien boys basketball team was one of the participants in the Sanford Pentagon Heritage Classic held Saturday, February 1 in Sioux Falls. The Wolverines’ opponent was Lakota Tech of South Dakota. After a close first quarter South O’Brien was able to gain some separation on the way to a 66-43 victory over the Tatanka.
The leading scorers for the Wolverines were Jaden Kreber with 27 points and Derek Paulsen with 17. After holding only a 15-14 advantage after one quarter, South O’Brien took a 34-26 lead into halftime. By the end of the third quarter the margin had increased to 15 points at 49-34.
Lakota Tech, which dipped to 3-11 on the season, got eight points from both DJ Ross and Temo Standing Soldier.
