Treys help South O’Brien boys tame the Tigers

South O’Brien found the range from three-point land in beating Trinity Christian 68-35 in War Eagle Conference action January 28 at Hull. The Wolverines went 11-for-28 from deep while Trinity made just two of 14 long range shots.
Jaden Kreber scored 21 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Derek Paulsen contributed 15 points, Gabe Moermond eight, Alex Griebel six, Brady Riedemann five, Brody Van Beek and Brett Evans four each, Caden Wittrock three and Reese Lundquist two. Assists leaders were Paulsen with four and Moermond and Wittrock with three apiece.
From the field the Tigers were 14-of-42 (33 percent) and South O’Brien 24-of-55 (44 percent). The Wolverines sank nine of 11 free throw attempts while Trinity was 5-of-10 at the line.
Moermond and Paulsen each made three steals as the Tigers were guilty of 11 turnovers. South O’Brien turned the ball over seven times. Evans snatched five rebounds, Paulsen four and Wittrock three. Kreber, Lundquist, Evans and Brennan Billick each blocked a shot.
