Obituary – Dale Alan Shriver

Dale Alan Shriver

Dale Alan Shriver, age 65, of Sutherland, IA passed away on Monday, Dec. 30, 2024 at Orange City Health Systems in Orange City, IA.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2025 at Church of Christ in Sutherland, IA with Pastor John Erickson officiating. Burial will follow at Waterman Cemetery in Sutherland, IA. Visitation with family present will be 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Visitation will resume from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday morning at the church in Sutherland. Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. www.fischfh.com
Dale was born Nov. 11, 1959 in Spencer, IA, the son of Richard Shriver & Charlotte Martin. Dale was raised and educated in Sutherland, IA. Over the years Dale lived in Paullina, IA, Bentonville, AR and finally moved back to Sutherland. He worked at Walmart in Arkansas and Wilsons in Cherokee, IA. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings Fan.
Survivors include, his children, Jamie Shriver of Paullina, IA, David (Gretchen) Shriver of Centerton, AR, Ryan (Gabby Erickson) Shriver of Marcus, IA, Katie Erickson of Huron, SD, Aleah Shriver of Aurelia, IA; his father, Richard Shriver of Centerton, AR; his mother, Charlotte Petersen of Sutherland, IA; his brothers, Denny (Marie) Shriver of Casper, WY, Mike Shriver of Calumet, IA, Mark Shriver of Sutherland, IA.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Shriver; uncle, Jack Shriver; paternal grandparents, Mike & Neoma Shriver; maternal grandparents, Horace & Jennie Martin.
Casket bearers will be Mark Shriver, Denny Shriver, Mike Shriver, Tyler Shriver, Ryan Hansen & Kyle Hansen.
