Obituary – Margaret D. Klein

Margaret D. Klein Orange City, Iowa


Margaret D. Klein, age 75, of Orange City, Iowa and formerly of Paullina, Iowa passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City. Her funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at First Reformed Church in Orange City with Rev. Mark Haverdink, officiating. 
 Burial will be at Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina.
 Visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.
Margaret D. Klein
Margaret Dianne Klein the daughter of Garret and Marian (Kruse) Hofstra was born May 6, 1949 in George, Iowa. She received her education in George schools. On November 12, 1971 she was united in marriage to Arnold W. Klein at St Patrick Catholic Church in Sheldon. After their marriage the couple lived in Hospers, Sheldon for one year before settling in Paullina in 1984. Margaret was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at the Sheldon Hospital, Wide View Nursing Home in Paullina and for many years at the Orange City Hospital until her retirement. Her husband, Arnold passed away on September 17, 2006 in Primghar, Iowa. She moved to Orange City to be near her family in 2014. She became a resident of the Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City in December of 2022. She passed away at Prairie Ridge on Saturday, December 7, 2024 reaching the age of 75 years, 7 months and 1 day.
She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Orange City. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Margaret liked to play bingo, and do crafts especially painting.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memory her three children; Arlyn Klein; Melissa Klein and Trisha and her husband, Ryan Dau all of Orange City, Iowa; two grandchildren, Austyn and Grayson Dau of Orange City, Iowa; her siblings, Ginger Van Roekel of Sioux Center, Iowa; Audrey Zoet of Britt, Iowa; James (Cleone) Kruse of George, Iowa; Mary Kruse of George, Iowa; Mark Kruse of George, Iowa; Marty Kruse in Oklahoma; Sharon Kruse of South Sioux City, Nebraska and Paul (Cindy) Kruse of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold, parents Garret and Marian; step-dad, Martin Kruse; sister, Jan Kruse and a nephew, Michael Paul Koele.
