A. Call to Order
Board Vice President John Beck called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
B. Roll Call and Declaration of Quorum
All board members were present with the exception of President Gina Paulsen.  Quorum established.
C. Adoption of Agenda

  2. Minutes of Previous Meetings

    a. Financial Statements
    Board Secretary/SBO Aaron Giese provided the board with commentary on the school financials including receipts and expenditures, fund balances, and upcoming items to look for.

    b. Consider Payment of Invoices
    Board Secretary/SBO Aaron Giese highlighted some invoices and expenditures for the month and answered questions posed by board members.

    None.

  4. Reports by Administration
    a. Title I Presentation
    Instructor Lisa Puhrmann presented information to the board regarding the implementation of the District’s Title I program at the elementary.
    b. Directors
    Superintendent Wade Riley presented information to the board from the directors of the district including buildings, transportation, maintenance, nutrition, technology, and activities.
    c. Elementary
    Elementary Principal Jean Steen  presented an update to the board from the elementary including 21st-century skills, college and career readiness, positive climate and culture, high performance and growth, and facilities.
    d. Secondary
    Secondary Principal Denise Phillips presented an update to the board from the secondary including 21st-century skills, college and career readiness, positive climate and culture, high performance and growth, and facilities.
    e. Superintendent
    Superintendent Wade Riley updated the board on several issues including the bond project at both the Paullina and Primghar sites, the Iowa School Performance Profile results for the elementary and secondary, and upcoming dates to look for.
  5. Recognition of Staff, Students, and Patrons
    The Board recognized the following students for their accomplishments:

    1st Team: Derek Paulsen, Jordan Jenness, Jayven Miller
    2nd Team: Caden Wittrock, Brody Van Beek
    Honorable Mention: Teagen Bahrenfuss, Jaden Kreber
    Volleyball War Eagle All-Conference
    1st Team: Raegan Plagge
    2nd Team: Ashlynn Gunnerson
    Honorable Mention: Reese Farquhar
    Cross Country War Eagle All-Conference
    1st Team: Landen Davenport
    3rd Team: Trayton Cobb

    None.

  6. Annual Reconciliation and Settlement
    a. Examine Records of Business Manager/Treasurer; Board Accepts Financial Records for FY24 Subject to Financial Audit Report
    Board Secretary/SBO Aaron Giese provided the board with a brief overview of the financial records subject to the Fiscal Year 2024 audit and the annual treasurer’s report.

    b. Review and Accept FY24 Nutrition Fund Balance Sheet
    Board Secretary/SBO Aaron Giese provided the board with a brief overview of the nutrition fund balance sheet for Fiscal Year 2024.
