Members from the South O’ Brien FFA Chapter participated in NW District Livestock Judging at the Clay County Fair.
The FFA team of Hunter Lange (4th Individual), Austin Negus, Gabe Moermond, and Drew Wittrockt brought home came home with 3rd Place Overall Team, and 1st Place Swine Team, while the team of Noah Wittrock, Will Stout, Kate Dau, and Logan Dau brought came away with 11th Place Overall Team and 1st Place Beef Team.
Austin Negus stated, “I improved on my question classes a lot this year. The Clay County Fair livestock judging contest was the hardest competition of the year for me.”
Meanwhile the 4-H team of Karlee Sturges, Brennan Negus, James Beck placed 7th Place Overall, while the other other team placed 9th Place Overall Team and included Eliot Boardman (9th Individual), John Puhrmann, and Sarah Puhrmann.
