Needle Moving Donation for Kids Kampus

by Mari Radtke
The Arnie and Sue Leng Trust made a “needle-moving” donation to Kids’ Kampus Daycare in Primghar on Wednesday June 5, 2024. Arnie and the late Sue Leng lived in Primghar their entire lives. They were high school sweethearts, even earning classmates affection by being named Prom King and Queen in 1949. After college they returned to their roots. Sue taught until they started their family. Arnie farmed and, with family, became a part owner Savings Bank of Primghar, later adding Hartley and Lake Park. They shared four children. They have always loved children. Even today, Arnie working through memory difficulties “gets excited when kids come to visit. Kids make him happy,” said Steve Leng, son of Sue and Arnie.
Through the years, grandchildren and now 22 great grandchildren so far, of Sue and Arnie have enjoyed learning and growing at Kids’ Kampus. Because Kids’ Kampus has been such a wonderful part of their family’s life they wish to give back. Part of doing that is helping Kids’ Kampus be able to touch the lives of more families in the same way.
Their love of children and desire to give back inspired an extremely generous donation to the Kids’ Kampus expansion project in excess of $93,000.00.
