Remsen St. Mary’s scores early in beating Wolverines

Remsen St. Mary’s jumped on South O’Brien with five runs in each of the first two innings and went on to defeat the Wolverines. 13-0 in five innings. The War Eagle Conference game was played May 23 at Paullina after having been postponed from May 21 due to the waether.
South O’Brien was held without a hit by a quartet of Hawk pitchers. Ben Woodall drew a walk and reached on an error as well. Damian Villarreal also got aboard by way of an error while Gabe Moermond and Ryan Fuller each coaxed a walk.
Fuller drew mound duty to begin the game and went 4-2/3 innings. He gave up 10 hits, issued six bases-on-balls and struck out two batters while hitting one. Nine of the 13 runs were were earned. Jaden Kreber came on in relief and got a strikeout to end the top of the fifth. The Wolverines had three errors.
