Opening Night for PCP’s “Four Old Broads” is April 19

We are busy getting ready for our spring production. This year we are happy to be doing “Four Old Broads,” a very funny play by Leslie Kimbell.
Retired burlesque queen Beatrice Shelton desperately needs a vacation! A Sassy Seniors Cruise through the Caribbean may be just the ticket if she can just convince her best friend, Eaddy Mae Clayton, to go with her. Unfortunately, things have not been very pleasant at Magnolia Place Assisted Living since Nurse Pat Jones began working there. The newest resident, Imogene Fletcher, is suddenly losing her memory. Maude Jenkins is obsessed with her favorite soap opera and Sam Smith, retired Elvis impersonator, goes after every woman in the building. A mystery unfolds with laughter as the gals try to outsmart the evil Nurse Pat Jones and figure out why so many residents have moved to “the dark side,” Hilarity ensues as Imogene goes undercover and Maude enters the Miss Magnolia Senior Citizen Pageant to throw Pat off their trail. If they can solve the mystery, they may make it to the cruise ship.
We are so happy to have Paige Ginger from Primghar directing the performance. We have an all-star cast!! We welcome back familiar faces to the PCP stage and are proud to add new ones. This year’s cast includes Leah Puhrmann from Paullina, Sean Lane, Aimee Jenness and Jaela Anliker from Primghar, Jessie Huitink from Hospers, Danielle Folkers from Alton, and Daina Howrey from Granville.
Dinner theatre Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20. The meal will be catered by Boxcar’s Café in Hospers. The dinner will include Stuffed Chicken Breast, Baked Potato, Corn, Salad, Roll, and cake made by Angie Johannsen for dessert. You can reserve tickets by calling Shea’s Hardware in Primghar. After Monday, April 15, dinner theatre tickets will not be sold. Sales for the play will only be sold at the door on the night or afternoon of the play. Sunday, April 21, will be a 2:00 matinee.
Four Old Broads is laugh-out-loud hysterical with a whole lot of heart.” You will not want to miss it!
