Mustangs get past South O’Brien girls

George-Little Rock stole the ball 23 times from South O’Brien in defeating the Wolverines 46-33 January 23 at Paullina. The total turnover number for the Wolverines was 32.
When the Wolverines were able to put up their 28 shots they were somewhat successful. They made 10 baskets to shoot 36 percent. They connected on four of 12 trey attempts and nine of 14 free throws. The Mustangs were 4-of-17 from distance 10-of-11 at the charity stripe. Overall George-Little Rock was 16-of-50 from the floor for 32 percent.
South O’Brien got nine points from Marissa Ebel, eight from Addison Hedberg, six from Lindsey Einck, five from Reese Farquhar, three from Chloe Hustedt and two from Abby Nelson. The assists included three from both Hedberg and Hustedt and two from Ebel.
The Wolverines were outrebounded 34-10. Of those 34 Mustang rebounds, 15 were on the offensive glass. Hedberg collected three rebounds with Einck, Hustedt and Farquhar each grabbing two. Ebel stole the ball five times and blocked two shots. George-Little Rock committed 25 turnovers.
