A. Call to Order
Board President Gina Paulsen called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
B. Roll Call and Declaration of Quorum
All members were present with the exception of Director Dallas Jalas who was absent, and Director Josh Rausch who joined the meeting prior to agenda item E.1.  Quorum established.

    Board Secretary/SBO Aaron Giese provided the board with commentary on the school financials including receipts and expenditures, fund balances, and upcoming items to look for.

    b. Consider Payment of Invoices
    Board Secretary/SBO Aaron Giese highlighted some invoices and expenditures for the month and answered questions posed by board members.

  4. Reports by Administration
    a. CAPS Update
    Business instructor Amy Schmidt and SO’ students Edie Oliver, Averie Logan, Jordan Wulf, and Alex Sage provided an update to the board on the Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) program.  The program is designed to provide real-world professional business opportunities outside the walls of the classroom for high school students.
    b. Directors
    Superintendent Wade Riley presented information to the board from the directors of the district including buildings, transportation, maintenance, nutrition, technology, and activities.
    c. Elementary
    Superintendent Wade Riley presented an update to the board from the elementary including 21st-century skills, positive climate and culture, high performance and growth, and facilities.
    d. Secondary
    Superintendent Wade Riley presented an update to the board from the secondary including 21st-century skills, positive climate and culture, high performance and growth, and classroom visits.
    e. Superintendent
    Superintendent Wade Riley updated the board on a number of issues including the upcoming bond project, calendar work for the 2024-25 school year, holiday activities, and upcoming dates to look for.

  6. Consider Approval of First Reading of Board Policy Code 600 Series

  7. Consider Approval of Swanson Complex Budget
    Motion to approve the Fiscal Year 2024 budget for the Swanson Sports Complex.

  8. Consider Approval of At-Risk/Dropout Modified Supplemental Amount Application
    Motion to approve the Modified Supplemental Amount Application for the At-Risk/Dropout program in the amount of $221,554.

    President Gina Paulsen encouraged board members to check out the available resources on the IASB website.
    K. Talking Points
    Superintendent Wade Riley reminded board members of important upcoming dates for the bond project, and Director Sue McCauley urged other board members to contact local legislators before the upcoming session.
