New school board members were sworn in at the organizational meeting of South O’Brien held Monday November 27.
Returning board members are Beth Sibernaller-Woodall, John Beck and Rich Rausch. Newly elected board member is Dallas Jalas. Those elected members present on Monday were sworn into the office. Officers remained the same. Gina Paulsen, president and John Beck, Vice President. Both were sworn into office following their respective votes.
The school board meeting time and day was set to the third Monday of each month at 6:00pm. The board will keep the structure of the meeting and the process of getting topics on the agenda remains the same.
Board committees were generally kept the same. The President and Vice President, Gina Paulsen and John Beck along with Sue McCauley serve on the finance and negotiations. They are also serving on the committee. Transportation technology, and facilities committee is filled by Rich Rausch, Richard Radtke and Beth Sibernaller-Woodall who moved over from policy, personnel and wellness. Dallas Jalas joined Paulsen and Beck on the policy, personnel and wellness committee.
Aaron Giese was appointed as board secretary and Marty Weber as treasurer.
