ORDINANCE NO. 36
ADDITIONS TO ZONING ORDINANCE ARTICLE 15: SIGN REGULATIONS.
Section 15.11. Zoning Permit Required

  1. Residential Districts (R-1, R-2 & MH).
    f. All flashing, internally illuminated or audible signs are prohibited in all residential districts, except internally illuminated signs are allowed for churches, schools and governmental entities subject to the following restrictions:
  2. Only two (2) permanent type signs will be permitted per development, of which only one (1) free-standing sign will be permitted per development.
  3. All signs shall have fixed images – no illumination shall be intermittent, flashing, revolving, or animated.
  4. Signs are limited to 16 square feet in size for churches and governmental entities, and 21 square feet for schools.
  5. Brightness of signs from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm is limited to no more than 5,000 NIT.
  6. Brightness of signs from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm is limited to no more than 500 NIT.
  7. Signs must be turned off from the hours of 9:30 pm to 7:00 am.
  8. ALL COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL, & AGRICULTURAL DISTRICTS (C-1, C-2, GI & AG).
    p. All properties in Commercial, Industrial & Agricultural Districts (C-1, C-2, GI & AG) that are adjacent to or across the street from property zoned as Residential District must comply with the following:

Section 15.11. ZONING PERMITS REQUIRED.
Zoning permits shall be required in accordance with the provisions of Section 17.3 of this ordinance.
