Wolverines host South O’Brien Cross Country Meet
The Wolverines welcomed runners from 15 schools to the South O’Brien Cross Country Meet. The competition was held September 28 at Paullina Golf Club on Mill Creek.
South O’Brien placed two of its senior athletes in the top 20. Ben Woodall finished 10th in the boys race with a time of 19:00.30. Elodie Wilson was the 19th varsity girl to cross the finish line. Her clocking was 25:21.13.
Other Wolverines in the boys run were freshman Trayton Cobb (29th place), juniors Brett Evans (51st) and Ethan Schwarz (56th), senior Ian Oliver (58th) and juniors Caleb Buenger (61st) and Bensen Rohwer (67th).
The varsity girls race also included two South O’Brien juniors. Hailei Wallinga finished 45th and Kaylie McKinney 46th.
On the team side, Sheldon was the boys winner with a score of 44. South O’Brien was ninth with a 169. Hinton’s 28 score earned the top spot in the girls field.
