Board President Gina Paulsen called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.

F. Action Regarding Recommended Discipline of a Student
The board entered into open session at 7:09 PM.

Absent: None
Motion to accept the superintendent’s recommendation that the student who was the subject of the disciplinary hearing be expelled from attendance in the South O’Brien Community School District and any school activities for the remainder of the first quarter of the 2023-2024 school year in accordance with the terms and conditions established by the Board and shall be allowed the educational resources and options during the expulsion period as recommended by the administration; that upon completion of the expulsion period, an application for re-admission must be submitted and approved by the administration with a recommendation to the Board prior to re-admission; and that the written findings and conclusions consistent with the Board’s deliberations will be prepared and the President is authorized and directed to execute the Findings of Fact and Conclusion.
