TWO Day Wrestling Clinic Coming to Paullina, IA
It was announced on Friday that High Altitude Wrestling Club from Grimes, Iowa will be hosting a 2 Day Clinic at the Paullina Legion for all area wrestlers. The two day clinic will run August 26th & 27th from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. for grades K-12. The two day clinics are designed to teach coaches and wrestlers a system that will work at all levels! The two day clinics are set up having six drill sessions followed by a live session focusing on the moves that were taught for $90 per wrestler. A parent from the Wolverine Youth Wrestling Club contacted Chad Tunink about having a clinic brought to the area so that Wolverine wrestlers and all other area wrestlers could benefit from this clinic coming into the area. The location was decided as that is where the Wolverine Youth Wrestlers have their wrestling mats as the South O’Brien School system does not have wrestling mats. There is a cost per wrestler is $90. It is expected 20 to 30 wrestlers or more could attend this clinic. High Altitude Wrestling Club likes to keep numbers low to have more attention to each wrestlers. The community and the Athletic Boosters are excited to have this clinic come to Paullina.
Lunch will be provided both days. Bob and Scott’s is providing meat and cheese for Saturday and Prairie Market is providing lunch for Sunday along with other donors for lunches both days of the clinic. The Wolverines are trying to keep cost down for the kids and the club. Anyone wishing to help with the clinic contact Vanessa Rohwer at ladyshiro42@gmail.com or text or call 712-261-1480.
