The South O’Brien FFA Livestock Judging Team kicked off its judging season by having three senior teams and one junior team compete in the Sioux County Fair Livestock Judging Contest on July 12th.
This contest involved placing classes of breeding and market swine, breeding and market lambs, breeding heifers, and breeding does.
The junior team of John Puhrmann, Sarah Puhrmann, Drew Wittrock, and Noah Wittrock placed 5th overall.
In the senior division, the team of Will Stout, Jasper Johnson, Hunter Lange, and BreLee Rasmussen took Reserve Champion honors. Austin Negus, Dain Moermond, and MaKenna Wallin placed 5th as a team, while Eliot Boardman, Bensen Rohwer, and Alex Griebel placed 14th.
Individually, Rasmussen was Reserve Champion, Negus 8th, and Griebel 10th.
