Harris-Lake Park scores early to top Wolverines
Harris-Lake Park scored all of its runs in the first three innings in downing South O’Brien 8-2 June 19 at Lake Park. The Wolves scored twice in the first inning, four times in the second and twice more in the third to win the War Eagle Conference contest.
Boston Riedemann doubled and scored to give the Wolverines an early 1-0 lead. Ryan Fuller and Dain Moermond each had a single. Fuller scored in the seventh inning. Mitchell Enger walked twice. Ben Woodall had the lone RBI.
Woodall got the starting pitching assignment and went three innings, giving up the eight runs. Only two of the runs were earned. Woodall allowed 10 hits and struck out six. Gabe Moermond tossed three innings in relief. He yielded two hits, walked four batters, struck out three and hit one. South O’Brien was guilty of six errors.
