Remsen St. Mary’s no-hits Wolverines in four inning affair
For the second time this year Hunter Pick held South O’Brien hitless as Remsen St. Mary’s topped the Wolverines 19-0 June 14 at Paullina. In contrast, the Hawks collected 14 hits in the four inning game.
Dain Moermond got the pitching start for South O’Brien but lasted only 2/3 of an inning. He surrendered 10 runs on five hits, five walks and two hit batters. Nine of the runs were earned. Camden Stevens pitched in relief and went 1-1/3 plus innings. He gave up eight runs (all earned) on seven hits with a strikeout, a walk and two hit batters. Mitchell Enger finished up on the mound. His two innings yielded two earned runs on three hits to go along with two strikeouts, two walks and four hit batters.
The Hawks’ Pick issued two walks, one to Stevens and the other to Boston Riedemann.
