Hinton’s productive fourth inning secures win over Wolverines
Only once did Hinton post a crooked number on the scoreboard, but that was more than enough. The Blackhawks enjoyed a four-run fourth inning on the way to a 7-1 War Eagle Conference victory over South O’Brien June 12 at Hinton.
Pitcher Ben Woodall went the distance for the Wolverines, allowing 10 hits. The seven Hinton runs were all earned. Woodall struck out two batters, walked three and hit three.
Trevor Fiddelke singled and scored the South O’Brien run. Woodall also had a single and Dain Moermond recorded a double. In addition, Gabe Moermond drew a walk and Ryan Fuller was hit by a pitch.
