MMCRU put on a dominating performance in dispatching South O’Brien 18-0 in four innings May 26 at Paullina. It was the first War Eagle Conference game for the Wolverines, who fell to 1-3 on the season.
The 11 hits for the Royals included a double, a triple and a home run. The pitching combo of Michael Peterson and Eli Schlenger held South O’Brien to just one hit, a single by Trevor Fiddelke.
Dain Moermond pitched 1-2/3 inning, giving up seven earned runs on seven hits with two strikeouts and two walks. Boston Riedemann also went 1-2/3 and his line showed seven runs on two hits and five walks. Only three of the runs were earned. Jaden Kreber tossed 2/3 of an inning with four earned runs allowed, along with two hits and two walks.
