Have you ever driven by a farmstead with a beautiful barn quilt hanging on a barn or outbuilding that catches your eye? This is your opportunity to paint a barn quilt yourself. The O’Brien County Fair Board will provide a 2 ft. x 2 ft board that you can pick up at Neal Chase Lumbar Store in Primghar. You may then enter your barn quilt for judging on Saturday, July 22nd, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Those barn quilts will be on display in the Open Crafts bldg during the fair, July 24-26th, and then kept permanently in the Open Crafts bldg.
If you would like to enter a barn quilt in the open class, and then be able to take that barn quilt home with you, that is also an option. (you would purchase that board yourself) If you have any questions, please call Jan Gaudian, #757-2345.
