The Crew Begins To Position The Basket To Remove The Orginal Flagpole From The General N.B. Baker Library Building In Sutherland.

The Flagpole Is Successfully Removed From Its Holder On The Building And Makes A Safe Trip To The Trailer.

With the upcoming 100th anniversary of the General N.B. Baker Library building a fundraiser was held in the community to raise funds to restore the original flagpole on the Library building. With the funds raised Stacy Crane Rentals of Rossie was given the job of removing the the flagpole from the building and doing the restoration work on it. Once finished the flagpole will be put back on the building in time for the 100 year anniversary of the Library building in 2024.
If the flagpole is judged to be still strong enough to support a flag on a daily basis that will be done, if not a flag may only be up on special occasions if that is possible. At the moment that is to be determined.
