Taja Conley Ran Her Way Onto The War Eagle All Conference Cross Country Team With An Eighth Place Finish At The WEC Meet.

South O’Brien’s Taja Conley secured a spot on the all-conference team with an eighth-place finish at the War Eagle Conference Cross Country Meet held October 10 at Hawarden Golf Club. The top fifteen finishers among the varsity runners earn all-conference honors.
Three other Wolverine runners came close. Takara Conley finished 19th and Elodie Wilson 20th. On the boys’ side, Ben Woodall placed 17th.
The South O’Brien girls, with a score of 82, were third among the four teams competing. Also running for the Wolverines were Abby Stout, who placed 32nd among the varsity runners and Laci Kenney, who was 36th.
It was a seventh-place team finish for the Wolverine boys, who scored 144 points. Individual varsity placings for South O’Brien included 33rd for Ethan Schwarz, 37th for Ian Oliver, 44th for Brett Evans, 46th for Dominic Rounds, 49th for Bensen Rohwer and 51st for Kaleb Buenger.
Both the Unity Christian girls and boys captured War Eagle team championships. The girls finished with a score of 18 and the boys 21.
Varsity and JV competitors ran together in the girls race as well as the boys race.
