A Class 1A State Qualifying Meet for cross country will be held Thursday, October 20 at Holstein, beginning at 4:00 p.m. South O’Brien girls and boys will be competing, along with runners from Akron-Westfield, Alta-Aurelia, Gehlen Catholic, Harris-Lake Park, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, Hinton, Lawton-Bronson, MMCRU, Ogden, Ridge View, Riverside (Oakland), Sibley-Ocheyedan, Sioux Central, Siouxland Christian, Remsen St. Mary’s, Trinity Christian, Westwood and Whiting. The first two teams, plus the first 10 individual place winners will qualify for the state meet.
