MVAOCOU hosted its cross country meet September 22 at Mapleton. South O’Brien took part with four boys and four girls running.
Ben Woodall crossed the finish line in 41st place, best among the Wolverine boys. Brett Evans finished 65th, Ethan Schwarz 69th and Dominic Rounds 74th.
For the second time during the week Takara Conley was the top girls finisher for South O’Brien, placing 23rd at Mapleton. Taja Conley was next in 25th place. Elodie Wilson finished 56th and Abby Stout 73rd.
MOC-Floyd Valley came out on top in both the boys and girls team competitions. With only four runners in each, South O’Brien earned no team points.
