Ian Oliver Would Eventually Become The Third Wolverine To Cross The Finish Line At The Okoboji Cross Country Invite.

The South O’Brien cross country runners were in action again on September 1. This time the event was the Okoboji Cross Country Invite held at Emerald Hills Golf Club in Arnolds Park.
The Wolverine boys finished in 11th place with a score of 281. Best among them was Ben Woodall who placed 50th. Brett Evans finished 60th, Ian Oliver 68th, Ethan Schwarz 71st, Dominic Rounds 79th, Bensen Rohwer 82nd and Kaleb Buenger 83rd. The host Pioneers won the Invite with a score of 39.
Only two South O’Brien girls competed. That was too few to score as a team. Elodie Wilson crossed the finish line in 60th place. Abby Stout finished 66th. Sibley-Ocheyedan scored 58 points to take the girls title.
