The Wolverines struggled in all three aspects of the game on Tuesday, June 28th in Peterson against a nice Sioux Central team. South O’Brien only had two hits on the day and those were singles from Kenna Bauer and Abby Schreck. Bauer scored the lone run in the 11-1 setback.
Grace Fuhrman and Brooklyn Edwards combined to allow 10 hits and 11 runs (seven earned), walk three and strike out just one. On the defensive side of things the Wolverines committed six team errors, which didn’t help matters. We were never mentally in this game and that is a big part of softball. We may not have won this game, but it should have been a lot closer than it was.
