Five events are state qualifiers for South O’Brien track and field boys
The South O’Brien boys will be taking five events to the State Track & Field Meet. That was determined following competition at the Class 1A State Qualifying Meet May 13 at Lawton.
Event winners get the automatic trip to Des Moines where the State Track & Field Meet will play out May 19-21 at Drake Stadium. That route was taken by the Wolverines’ Willie Conley who won the high jump competition at Lawton and also by the first-place shuttle hurdle relay team of Grant Wagner, Arturo Reyes, Boston Riedemann and Pete Bottjen.
