It’s been a pretty crazy spring so far and this has only been our third meet of the season. South O’Brien lost the War Eagle Conference dual to Akron-Westfield 210-167 April 21 at Akron Golf Club.
It was an amazing night for golf. While Akron’s course is short, all of the trees can make it a pretty difficult course if you’re not hitting the fairway. We didn’t play great tonight, but it was nice to get back out there. Seniors Kaedon Louscher, Traven Bahrenfuss and Brecken Coady led the way for us and finished 7th, 8th, and 9th with a 48, 51, and 52. It wasn’t their best night but they have done a great job leading our team during this unusual season and I know they’ll bounce back.
Other scores for the Wolverines were Branden Puhrmann with a 59, Dylan Strubbe with a 61 and David Bottjen with a 63.
Medalist was Akron-Westfield’s Carter Wilken who fired a 39.
