While the winds were 25-30 mph, it was still a great night for golf with the temperature around 70°. South O’Brien defeated MMCRU 197-207 in the War Eagle Conference dual held April 22 at Primghar Golf and Country Club.
It was a fun night after not having the greatest night last night. Sophomore David Bottjen had his best round of the season and earned medalist honors with a 48. After Derek Paulsen shot well last night, I moved him into the varsity lineup and he earned a 3rd place finish with a 49. Derek has a lot of potential and he’s playing some great golf right now. Senior Brecken Coady finished 4th with a 49 and has been very consistent for us the entire season.
Other Wolverine cards showed Kaedon Louscher with a 51, Traven Bahrenfuss with a 57 and Dylan Strubbe with a 62.
We’re continuing to improve and I’m excited for the next couple of weeks.
