The Gaza Forum will be held Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022 at 7:00pm. The location selected for this forum is symbolic. It will be held in a seed corn warehouse in Gaza Iowa during corn planting season. The seed corn warehouse was selected as a grassroots location symbolic of Iowa’s disappearing smaller communities and as a reminder to the candidates of the rural nature of northwest Iowa. The warehouse is located at 4325 Tabor Avenue in Gaza, Iowa.
This forum features all candidates vying for the honor of representing northwest Iowa in the state’s District 5 House of Representatives and in the state Senate District 3.
All or parts of Osceola, O’Brien, Clay, Cherokee and Buena Vista Counties comprise Districts 3 Senate and District 5 House. House of Representative candidates are Dennis Bush, incumbent; Zack Dieken and Tom Kuiper. Senate Candidates are Lynn Evans and Anthony LaBruna. The redistricting left the new senate District 3 without an incumbent.
