O’Brien County Emergency Management joined with General Assistance/Mental Health Advocate to form a suicide prevention coalition. Alarming statistics over the past four years instigated the outreach and prevention effort.
A first step by this group is to adopt a logo. The logo design contest is open to the public. Each entry must include “O’Brien County Suicide Prevention Coalition,” colors of the coalition – purple and teal; others can be included and a short slogan or phrase such as “you matter” and etc.
Submissions are due by December 31, 2021. They can be submitted electronically to awallin@obriencounty.iowa.gov or paper copies can be put into the drop box the first floor drop box at the court house.
