Eric Mars represented the South O’Brien FFA Chapter as a candidate for the office of NW State President. A week before the State FFA Leadership Conference, Eric participated in seven rounds of interviews over two days with the State Officer Interview Committee at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny. At the State FFA Convention, Mars then presented a speech to the NW District Delegates. “It was pretty nerve racking at the time. Even though I wasn’t elected, this was a great experience that allowed me to meet a lot of passionate people who care about the future of the FFA. I definitely learned more about leadership and how to be a confident public speaker,” Eric said.
