Archer Library Welcomes Patrons
Welcome Archer residents and visitors. Archer Library offers Summer Reading programs to children, adults and everyone in between. Summer Reading is every Wednesday morning from ten to noon. Please come by for reading activities, crafts, conversation and creating ways to enjoy and learn about how Reading Colors Our World – our 2021 Summer Reading theme.
On Saturday mornings at eleven o’clock we have Story Time with activities and a host of “Celebrity Readers” and guests. We recently welcomed Abbie from O’Brien County Conservation for an enjoyable morning. Our next event will be Rope Making with Judy Grienke-Miller on June 19th.
On June 26, we will host a Dance Party for Story Time with music and dancing puppets. Each Thursday afternoon from three to five, Annee is hosting a writing workshop for any adults wishing to attend.
In the coming weeks, this will segue into scrapbooking and photography. O’Brien County Economic Development has provided Archer Library (and all the other area libraries) with a Photo Box that local businesses may use to showcase their products, designs, and concepts. The library is utilizing it for photo shoots of projects from the children’s Lego building and crafts to the artistic endeavors of our patrons and visitors.
Feel free to call Annee at the library (phone # 712-723-5629) for more details, to request books, if you have multi-media queries, or to schedule an event or activity of your own choosing. Looking forward to seeing many patrons, visitors, and newcomers this summer – Annee Carlson
