Wolverine bats silenced in loss to Remsen St. Mary’s
Sophomore pitcher Isaiah Gerrietts allowed no baserunners during his four innings of work as Remsen St. Mary’s blanked South O’Brien 15-0 June 4 at Remsen. Of the 12 Wolverines he retired, five were by way of strikeout. With the loss, South O’Brien dropped to 0-2 in the War Eagle Conference and 2-5 on the season.
The Hawks tallied two runs in the first inning but then exploded for six in the second and seven in the third.
Pete Bottjen received the starting pitching assignment and took the loss. He went 2-1/3 innings, allowing nine runs (four earned) on five hits and four hit batters. Jett Keith’s 1/3 inning on the mound yielded six runs (three earned) on four hits and a pair of hit batters. Kaedon Louscher pitched a scoreless (and hitless) third of an inning which included a walk.
