MMCRU scores three in seventh down Wolverines
South O’Brien came up just a little short in its first road game of the season. The Wolverines battled throughout but George-Little Rock was able to come away with a 7-5 win May 25 at George.
Each team scored a run in the first inning and the Mustangs added another in the second. The Wolverines drew closer with a tally in the fifth, but then saw George-Little Rock put two more runs on the scoreboard to lead 7-4. South O’Brien scored once in the seventh but it wasn’t enough to prevent the loss.

Pete Bottjen added a single as the Wolverines totaled seven hits. Cole Tjossem came in as a baserunner and scored one of the five runs.
