South O’Brien FFA Banquet Held on May 1
By Abby Stout
South O’Brien FFA Chapter held its annual banquet on Saturday evening, May 1. FFA members and their families gathered in the school’s east gym to celebrate the accomplishments of the chapter and its members over the past year. The chapter also gave out awards to community members who have contributed to the chapter and its success. Certificates were given to those who received their discovery (8th grade), greenhand (first year members), and chapter (second year member) degrees. Members who participated in contests throughout the year were also awarded certificates and plaques. Seniors who have been very involved and influential in FFA were also honored. The night ended with a video that featured the past year’s major highlights and a thank you to the graduating seniors for all that they’ve invested into the chapter.
