The Wolverine girls golf team defeated MMCRU 214-235 at the Marcus Golf Club April 15 in a War Eagle Conference dual. Senior Captain Kaeley Einck was medalist leading the pack with a 51. Sophomore Samantha Wilbur took home the second place medal with a 52. Sophomore Whitney Einck tied for fourth with a 55 but earned the fourth place medal based on handicap holes. Senior Breana Bottjen shot a 56, which was good for sixth place. South O’Brien coach Kris Faust said, “It turned out to be a pretty nice night for golf, giving the cold and windy weather we faced all week.” She added, “It was great to get the win and bring home some medals.” The Wolverines will host their first home meet in Primghar on April 22 against HMS.
