It was a gorgeous night for golf in Remsen on April 6 and the guys from South O’Brien were ready to get out on the course. After not playing at all last year, I wasn’t sure what to expect tonight.
While we have a lot of new faces, we do have a couple of familiar ones as well. Josh Johnansen led the way for us tonight while finishing second with a 46. Josh was our #2 golfer as a sophomore and will be a solid #1 for us this year. Senior Jason Wittrock finished sixth with a 53, and junior Brecken Coady finished seventh with a 54 in his first varsity round of golf.
St. Mary’s won the team battle 191-211. We’re looking forward to some more great weather this spring and are excited to get the season under way.
