The South O’Brien boys joined a large two-class field April 6 at the Dutch Relays held at Northwestern College in Orange City. The Wolverines placed fourth in the six-team Class B division, scoring 76 points.
Running their way to first place were the distance medley relay team of Mason Warnke, Parker Struve, Hudson Oolmann and Jacob VanLith). The unit of Micah Davis, Boston Riedemann, Dain Moermond and Ian Oliver earned a second-place finish in the shuttle hurdle relay. Davis also placed second in both individual hurdle events, the 110 meters and the 400 meters.
Placing third were VanLith in the high jump and Struve, Oolmann, VanLith and Sawyer Honkomp in the 4×400 relay. Coming in fourth were Jarome Jackson in the discus, Tyson Wulf in the 3200 meters, Moermond in the 400 meter hurdles and the 4×800 relay team of Ben Woodall, Sam Daniels, Brenden Wilson and Oliver.
