South O’Brien stepped away from War Eagle Conference December 10 play to take on Westwood of the Western Valley Conference. The Rebels nearly doubled the score on the visitors, downing the Wolverines 65-33 at Sloan to drop South O’Brien to 0-5 on the season.
Takara Conley scored 10 points, followed by Tatiana Conley with seven points, Taja Conley with six, Regan Draper with four, Marissa Ebel with three, Ashlyn Gimer with two and Samantha Wilbur with one. Draper and Taja Conley each had two assists.
Taja Conley stole the ball three times and Draper twice. The team totaled 34 rebounds with Tatiana Conley grabbing 10, Takara Conley five and Ebel four.
The Wolverines shot 13-of-51 from the floor for 26 percent. That included 3-of-14 from three-point range. South O’Brien went 4-for-8 at the foul line. The Wolverines committed 24 turnovers.
