Wins elude Sheldon/South O’Brien at wrestling triangular
Sheldon/South O’Brien traveled to Orange City December 9 for a wrestling triangular that had been postponed from the day before. The Orabs dropped both duals, falling to Central Lyon/George-Little Rock 42-32 and host MOC/Floyd Valley 44-31.
Securing wins by fall in the opening dual against the Lions were Josh Hoffman at 113 pounds, Anthony Escobar at 145 and Coy De Boer at 152. Jarrett Roos scored a technical fall at 182 and Jordan Jenness won by decision at 170. Brian Martinez was a winner by forfeit at 106 pounds.
Hoffman and DeBoer also got pins against MOC/Floyd Valley. Joining them were Martinez and Jack Leng with wins by fall at 106 and 285 respectively. Roos was a 10-0 major decision winner and Zach Brinkman won a 9-2 decision at 195 pounds.
