Takara Conley third for Wolverines at K-P Cross Country Invite
Athletes from 12 different cross country programs, including South O’Brien, converged on Kingsley October 4 for the Kingsley-Pierson Cross Country Invitational. The course ran through the Brookside Golf Course.
The Wolverines’ Takara Conley took third place in the girls varsity competiton. The other two South O’Brien runners in the race were Abby Stout and Laci Kenney who were 36th and 37th respectively. With just three runners the Wolverines did not qualify for the team competition won by Lawton-Bronson.
Ben Woodall was the top finisher for the South O’Brien boys, coming in 16th. Ian Oliver placed 36th, Ethan Schwarz 38th, Dominic Rounds 41st, Bensen Rohwer 46th and Kaleb Buenger 50th. MMCRU was the boys team winner with a score of 52. South O’Brien was seventh with 149 points.
