You’ve been flocked

Flocks of flamingos can be seen around Sutherland (and beyond). Getting flocked is a good thing. The flocking is a fun fundraiser promoted by the Board of Trustees of General N. B. Baker Library to raise funds for a restoration project.
The brick building built as a school house more than 100 years old is home to the Sutherland Library. Several landscaping projects have been completed there this summer. A few outdoor projects remain. One challenging project is the restoration of the original flagpole that sits atop the building front. The wooden pole is almost completely without a protective paint covering.
A bid was received from Stacy Crane & Rigging in Rossi to remove the flag pole from its perch, take it to their shop in Rossi, clean the surface, repaint it and replace it on it perch atop the century old library structure. The bid is for $2500 for all that work. The Board of Trustees planned a Flock of Flamingos fundraiser.
If someone who knows you sends a flock of pink pretties to your yard for an afternoon or overnight visit you will receive a letter of explanation at that time. Then, you get to name the next stop for the flock. The idea is to get the birds moved for a donation.
Be generous. Be kind. Have fun. Pride in the restored flagpole is the whole point.
