Boston Riedemann had a hand (foot?) in four first-place finishes, helping South O’Brien earn second as a team at Alta-Aurelia’s Warrior Coed Relays held April 26 at Alta. Riedemann captured both the long jump and the 110 hurdles. He was also a part of two winning relays, teaming with Parker Struve, Hudson Oolman and Cole Tjossem in the 4×100 and with Justin Paulsen, Arturo Reyes and Pete Bottjen in the shuttle hurdle relay.
Oolman placed second at the long jump pit. In the high jump, Willie Conley was second and Jacob Van Lith third. The 200 meter dash saw Conley finish second and Tsion Davis third. Another pair of runner-up finishes went to Tjossem in the 100 meter dash and to Reyes in the 400 meter hurdles.
South O’Brien claimed second in a pair of relays: the 4×200 of Struve, Oolman, Van Lith and Tjossem and the sprint medley of Struve, Bottjen, Davis and Conley. Keaton Sampson placed fourth in both the shot put and the discus. Also claiming fourth were the 4×400 relay of Dante Johnson, Oolman, Reyes and Van Lith and the distance medley relay of Davis, Sawyer Honkomp, Paulsen and Ben Woodall.
South O’Brien earned 139 team points to trail only MMCRU. The Royals amassed 166 points. Sioux Central was third with 117.
